After working as a counter assistant while doing A Levels Dalgeet decided she wanted to pursue a career in pharmacy. Following two weeks of work experience in hospital pharmacy Dalgeet decided she wanted to stay in secondary care. Dalgeet qualified as a pharmacy technician in 1992 and then went on to gain a wealth of experience working in different pharmacy roles including dispensary, manufacturing (as it was called in those days), purchasing and training & development of pre-registration and qualified pharmacy support staff. Dalgeet qualified as an assessor in 1998 and then as an internal quality assurer in 1999. Later she went on to do the BTEC NVQ Level 4 Training and Development (Learning Development) qualification in 2001. Dalgeet worked for London Pharmacy Education and Training as the Vocational Qualifications Manager for 14 years. She is currently the Head of Eduation and Development at Barts Health Pharmaceuticals.
