WCPPE will launch a research project on Community Pharmacy Technician Roles in Wales at the end of January.
The online questionnaire will be e-mailed out via the GPhC, on WCPPEs behalf, to ensure all community pharmacy technicians living in Wales have the opportunity to contribute. The questionnaire link will also be available via social media.
Completion of the questionnaire will be anonymous. There will be an opportunity to opt in for a follow-up telephone interview for those who wish to contribute further qualitative comments.
This research project has been identified as a priority by the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for Wales. The aim of the research is to gain a better understanding of community pharmacy technician roles in Wales, including enablers and barriers. The data will be used to inform WCPPE programme development specifically for community pharmacy technicians.
The research project is being managed by Rebecca Chamberlain, Education Officer at WCPPE, who stated, “We would like to encourage all community pharmacy technicians in Wales to respond, to ensure that the results are an accurate representation of roles across Wales. This is an important project which has the potential to inform future development of the pharmacy technician profession within Wales.”
The questionnaire and participant information will be disseminated by GPhC w/c 29th January 2018 – please keep an eye out for it in your inbox!
The closing date for completion of the questionnaire is Friday 30th March 2018.
Please give 15 minutes of your time to help shape the future development of community pharmacy technician roles.
