Welcome to the APTUK branches pages!

APTUK offers all members exclusive access to their branch network throughout the UK. This provides a unique opportunity to meet other APTUK members, working in a variety of settings, to build professional relationships and enhance professional development together. Additionally, APTUK branches offer updates on relevant national and strategic issues impacting on the profession, whilst sharing exciting opportunities both locally and nationally.

There are a variety of branches. Some are arranged by region and others focus on speciality topics such as technical, aseptic services and are managed by a committee of pharmacy technician volunteers, who dedicate their time to APTUK members and the profession.

As a branch member, you have exclusive access to meetings, presentations, and webinars on relevant topics delivered virtually via Teams or Zoom. Providing professional information that is interesting, novel, and often boundary defying.  Pharmacy technicians are encouraged to share their experience, expertise, and knowledge in an open, friendly, welcoming space. APTUK Kent Branch is a welcoming and supportive branch representing pharmacy technicians and pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians across Kent and Medway. We bring together members from community, hospital, primary care, and education settings, creating opportunities to connect, learn, and develop professionally.

We are looking forward to delivering a programme of online learning and networking alternating between lunchtime sessions and evening sessions to support accessibility and work–life balance. Our events are designed to support continuing professional development, peer support, and collaboration, while offering opportunities to share experiences, gain insights into a wide range of pharmacy technician career pathways, and build strong local professional networks.

We pride ourselves on being inclusive, friendly, and supportive, encouraging participation from pharmacy technicians at all stages of their careers - from those newly entering the profession to experienced pharmacy technicians. Whether you are looking to enhance your CPD, expand your network, or feel more connected to the local pharmacy technician community, APTUK Kent Branch offers a welcoming space to get involved.

The Technical Services Branch was originally set up in 2019 to connect Pharmacy Technicians within this sector from across the country. Due to the span of Technical Services Units, it was the first branch to 'go virtual'.

We aim to hold meetings which are educational, showcase areas of innovation or simply connect Pharmacy Technicians with others in the same area to support networking within this area of Pharmacy.

We welcome members from all areas of Pharmacy though- so if a topic seems interesting to you, please join us!
