We would like to take this opportunity to thank Claire for all her hard work and dedication to APTUK.
When asked about teh appointment, Claire said:
"I firmly believe change is a good thing, particularly in healthcare. I feel it is in the best interest of APTUK and the pharmacy technician profession for APTUK to continually evolve and be led by pharmacy technicians with new ideas; plus it is an amazing opportunity and an incredibly privileged position that I believe others should have the opportunity to experience. There are lots of potential changes afoot for our profession and I encourage all pharmacy technicians to embrace these changes. We have fought long and hard to be recognised, and we need to grab any and all prospects of us achieving professional recognition, autonomy and parity of esteem.
While I am sad my tenure has come to an end, I am delighted to be handing over to Nicola, who has been key in enabling our success over the past few years and did a fantastic job standing in during my illnesses.
